WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
This experience features a practice, a qualifying and then a grid started race split over two 15 minute sessions on the track for every driver. *Please note that Combat Kart sessions at Reading are two 12 minute sessions.
There are two ways to experience Combat Karts:
- An Open/Standard Session. There may be other drivers on the track with you.
- An Exclusive Track Session. This means it will only be your group on the track. Please note that a minimum number of drivers is required to be eligible for an exclusive session. This varies by location.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Combat Karts are run on a daily basis, no previous experience needed, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced this is a great fun new karting experience. With 8 drivers allowed to take to the track at Newcastle, 10 players at Preston, 9 at Reading and a whopping 17 at our New Mitcham track!
Once you've signed in and suited up in your race gear, it's time to dive into the electrifying world of Combat Karts!
Experience the excitement of your favourite video games in real life with a short but essential practice, a heart-pounding qualifying race, and then, after a short break an intense grid started race. When those lights turn green, it's go time! Zoom around our thrilling track, grab power-ups, and blast them at your rivals by using our interactive steering wheel to claim victory! Plus medals are awarded for the 3 winning players of the final game!

WHAT DO BOOSTS & BONUSES DO?
POWER+: Slow down ALL the other players, to gain maximum advantage!
SHEILD: Protect yourself from the players in-front and behind you for a few seconds!
BLAST: Drop a bomb to slow down the opponents behind you!
ZAP: Fire at the player in-front of you, slowing them down giving you a instant advantage!
TUBRO: Increase your speed and leave the other players for dust!
FAQ'S
Are there any height restrictions?
Players racing in the adult karts must have an inside leg measurement (measured from the crotch to the base of the heel, whilst wearing shoes) of 29 inches or more.
How many games will I play?
You will have 2 x 15-minute driving sessions, with practice laps and a break between sessions at all Combat Kart venues excluding Reading.
Reading Combat Kart sessions are 2 x 12 minutes.
When do I need to arrive?
You need to arrive 30 minutes before your game time
Comfortable clothing is a must. We provide everything you need to get behind the wheel, including a protective jumpsuit. You’ll also need a balaclava – you can purchase a reusable cotton one for £3.79 upon arrival. If you’re a seasoned Karter, you’re welcome to bring your own racewear and balaclava, subject to approval by our marshals. All hair must be tied up and tucked into the race suit or helmet. Scarves and sashes must be removed. Jewellery should also be removed.
Due to safety and hygiene, you must know your helmet size when you arrive at the venue. Unfortunately, we are unable to try on multiple helmets to find your fit. Find your fit here.
What footwear should I wear?
Trainers are ideal shoes for karting.
Shoes must cover the whole foot, no open toes/sandals/crocs. No heels or wedges.
Can I wear my own helmet?
Yes, as long as they are full-face helmets and meet ISO standards. All helmets must have a clear visor.
All road-safe helmets should meet this standard however our trackside team will give it double-check.
Can I wear my own racewear?
If you have ISO standard racewear, you are welcome to wear it, but the track staff may check it on the day to confirm it meets the requirements.
Motorcycle leathers/race suits do not meet the same standard as karting race suits so they cannot be worn.
Can I wear my own GoPro / helmet cam?
If you are using your own helmet, you can use your own Go-Pro / helmet cam as long as they are securely mounted.
When using our helmets, you cannot attach anything to them. However, we do have a headcam service where you can rent cameras for your visit. We do not allow chest mounts or cameras mounted directly to our karts.
My child wants to race, do I have to race with them?
Children can race on their own if they want to. An accompanying adult is welcome to spectate or join the action.
Can adults and children race together?
Yes. Children and adults race together.
Do you have two-seater karts?
No, all of our karts have single seats.
I’m bringing other people’s kids, what do I need to know?
All players under the age of 16 years old, must be signed in by an accompanying adult (over 18 years old). If you are bringing a group of players under the age of 16, you will need to provide details when signing in of the player’s date of birth, address and emergency contact details.
Do parents need to sign their children in on the day or sign a waiver in advance?
We ask that all players are pre-registered onto your reservation before the day of your race. If you follow the link on your booking confirmation and you can access the waiver and register your players.
