Your experience starts with a few practice laps to warm up, after which the marshal will line you up on the grid for the official race start. This is an endurance race where the winner is the first to reach 50 laps, after which the races ends. The number of laps may vary by track due to the length of the track.

Practice Laps

Your Go Karting experience starts from the pitlane. When out on track you will have time to complete some practice laps to warm-up.

Grid start

Once you've completed some practice laps the marshal will line you up on the grid for the official race start. When the lights go green it's time to race.

50 Lap Endurance Race

This is an endurance race where the winner is the first to reach 50 laps, as soon as the first driver gets to 50 laps, the chequered flag will be raised and all drivers will return to the pits.

The number of laps may vary by track due to the length of the track.

Podium Presentation

The top three drivers will receive a podium presentation, where they will be awarded their respective 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize.

Best suited to experienced go karters

The 50 Lap Race is our longest individual race format, where drivers battle it out to be the first to cross the finish line after 50 laps.

Drivers must be aged 16 years and over

This Go Karting experience is only open to drivers aged 16 years and over.

It is recommended to be an experienced racer, however, any skill level can take part.

If you have a medical condition please consult with our staff to see if you are safe to race.

Group sizes

Any group size can take part in the 50 Lap Race. If you're group is larger than the track capacity then please contact us. If you're booking for a larger group and are looking for a more exclusive Go Karting experience, you may also want to check out our party packages and exclusive race options.

What to wear Go Karting

Go Karting Headwear
Helmet provided

You'll be provided with a helmet at the track as part of your Go Karting package.

Balaclava required

You'll need a suitable balaclava.

If you've been before remember to bring your reusable cotton balaclava with you.

If you don't already have a balaclava you can purchase a reusable cotton one for Β£3.99 upon arrival. We also have a long hair version of the balaclava available.

Clothes for Go Karting

Comfortable clothing is a must. Before you get behind the wheel we will provide you with a protective race suit to put over your clothes.

Gloves

You'll be provided with Gloves to borrow at the track as part of your Go Karting experience or you can choose to buy a new pair of gloves at track.

Footwear

Shoes must cover the whole foot when Go karting.

Experience duration | 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours

We recommend allowing 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours in total from arrival for your experience. Larger parties may require longer and Event duration will vary depending on track length.

We ask all participantsΒ to arrive 40 minutes prior to their on track schedule time.

Arrival at Track

When you arrive at TeamSport our staff will be ready to greet you at reception. We'll get you checked in and ready to race.

Arrive 40 minutes before your drive time

While we will always try our best to accommodate you, we cannot delay a race for customers running late. If you are late, you might lose some track time or might not be able to race at all.

Race suit

After you're checked in you will be given your Go karting race suit to put on over your clothes.

Gloves and helmets

Gloves and helmets will be provided before you enter the track.

Please note, you will either need to bring a balaclava or purchase a reusable cotton balaclava from the venue for Β£3.99.

Safety briefing

Once you're suited up you'll be shown to our safety briefing room. Here the TeamSport staff and briefing video will explain all the rules to keep you safe on the track.

On Track Experience

Not racing, but want to be part of the action while off the track? We've got you covered!

Everyone of any age is welcome to come and spectate. You don't need to book to cheer on the racing from our bar areas. Simply turn up with your friends.

Children under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older. Children can't be left unaccompanied while their parent or guardian in on the track.

What clothing should I wear Go Karting?

Comfortable clothing is a must and trainers are ideal for go karting.

We provide all the gear you need to kart in, however, you’ll also need a balaclava – if you don't already own one, you can purchase a reusable cotton one for Β£3.99 upon arrival.

Long hair is to be tied up and tucked away under the race suit.

Scarves, sashes, and headgear that present a risk must be removed. Jewellery should also be removed.

Heels, sandals, or any open toed footwear is not allowed.


Are there any restriction around who can go kart?

Yes, drivers are required to be aged 8 years and over, with an inside leg measurement of 25 inches.

How much does Go karting cost?

Pricing varies by day, time, location, experience and group size.

What do I need to bring on the day?

You need to bring any vouchers that are being redeemed as part of your booking on the day! If you paid by card online or used your card over the phone in the last 7 days; you need to bring the same card with you to verify your booking.


Do I need to Book for Go Karting?

Pre-booking is essential to guarantee your on-track experience as we have limited space available on each session.
