Located just two miles from Newcastle's thriving city centre—a mere ten-minute car or taxi journey away—TeamSport Newcastle is the perfect destination for a superb day out. Whether you're planning a stag or hen do, a team-building trip, or simply seeking midweek or weekend excitement, this venue offers much more than just a go-karting circuit.

By Car:

Car Parking is provided Free of charge.

From A1:

From the A1, take the A6085 exit towards A695/City Centre/Blaydon/Newburn then at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Scotswood Road/A189. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue onto Scotswood Road/A695. After a set of pedestrian crossing traffic lights keep in the right hand lane and at the next set of traffic lights, Volkswagen Lookers and TeamSport will be to your right. Take a right turn here when possible and enter TeamSport’s car park to the right.

From City Centre/Newcastle Central:

Head west on Neville St/A186 towards Bewick Street and continue to follow A186. Turn left onto Marlborough/A695 and continue to follow the A695. Take a right onto Plummer St/A695 and then when you come to the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Scotswood Rd/A695. TeamSport will be on your left immediately after Volkswagen Lookers. Take a left and our car park is directly outside the building.

From Metrocentre:

Take Scotswood View to Riverside Way/A1114. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Riverside Way/A1114 then at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A695. Use the left lane to merge onto Scotswood Rd/A695 via the slip road to Newcastle. You will drive through a set of traffic lights for a pedestrian crossing, then using the right hand land approach a second set of traffic lights with a right turn. Volkswagen Lookers and TeamSport will be to your right. Take the right turn here when possible and enter the TeamSport’s car park to the right.

By Train:

The nearest train stations are Metrocentre and Newcastle Central, however these are not walking distance and would require a short cab ride or bus route.

By bus from Newcastle Central:

You can take Bus 22 from Central Station to Whitehouse Enterprise Centre stop, which is 1 minute walk away from TeamSport.

Not racing, but want to be part of the action while off the track? We've got you covered!

Everyone of any age is welcome to come and spectate. You don't need to book to cheer on the racing from our bar areas. Simply turn up with your friends.

Children under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older. Children can't be left unaccompanied while their parent or guardian in on the track.

Are Spectators welcome at TeamSport Newcastle?

Yes, it’s free to come and watch our racers at TeamSport Newcastle, whether you want to host a Kid's birthday party, Corporate team day or support your friends and family!

Our starter track, which hosts Combat Karts, Rookie Racers, and Mini Racers, does feature a designated spectator viewing area, offering an accessible way to enjoy the on-track action.

And while you spectate, you can relax with food and drinks from our menu.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Our venue is designed to be as accessible as possible, with designated disabled parking bays available on-site, although these are not located directly next to the entrance.

Please note that wheelchair access is not available to the main downstairs karting track and pit lane. However, accessible areas are available throughout the rest of the venue, making it suitable for most visitors.

While the main karting track spectator area is not accessible, guests can still enjoy the action from our upper-level bar viewing area. The Combat Karts track does offer accessible spectator access, providing an alternative way to enjoy the experience.
