Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy is a national programme to support and develop the next generation of young female karters.
The Girls Karting Academy provides girls from ages 8 to 12 the opportunity to learn and progress into Motorsport UK’s talent pathway, under its Academy programme.
Taster days Summer Holidays & October Half Term 2025
✔ FREE TeamSport Race Academy Membership provided in conjunction with Motorsport UK
✔ Run by our expert Chief Instructors who have been specially trained by Motorsport UK
✔ Exclusively for girls aged 8 to 12 years old
✔ 2 hours of off-track activities
✔ 30 minutes on the track, divided into 10 minute lessons with breaks in between
✔ Personalised Development Plan – your Chief Instructor will work with you to review your skills, set goals, and recommend the most suitable level for your Race Academy lessons

Exclusively for girls aged 8-12 years, our Girls Karting Academy team includes three-thrilling 10 minute on-track sessions and two-hours of engaging off-track activities, with a focus on fitness and nutrition. Led by our Chief Instructors, trained by Motorsport UK, the day is designed to encourage and support girls in karting, helping them build confidence, skills, and a pathway into the Girls Karting Academy programme.
Hosted nationally across ten TeamSport locations, the day aims to leave girls feeling confident in a kart both on and off the track. Girls need no previous experience of karting or motorsport to participate, they will be supported by TeamSport Chief Instructors throughout the day.
Participants will undergo activities designed by Motorsport UK’s Academy coaches and experts in sports science to test competence and skills both on and off the track. All girls will be able to continue their journey with our development sessions at TeamSport.

#1 Attend a Taster day
Three-thrilling 10-minute on-track sessions and two hours of engaging off-track activities. Led by our Chief Instructors, trained by Motorsport UK, the day is all about giving girls the chance to experience karting in a fun and supportive environment. Those who enjoy it and want to continue can take their next steps with the Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy.
The day aims to leave girls feeling confident in a kart and wanting to continue karting.
#2 Invitation to Join the Academy
Girls who enjoy the Taster Day can keep their karting journey going with the Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy! After the day, each girl receives a Personal Development Plan from their Chief Instructor and can use their FREE TeamSport Race Academy membership to book lessons at the right level. Additionally, Monthly Girls Karting Academy Club Nights will be hosted to give extra tips and a chance to connect with other girls – all about having fun, learning, and enjoying karting together!

Our ultimate goal is to support girls to progress into competitive motorsport, we host Championships including our Grid Series and the British Indoor Karting Championships
About Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy
Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy is operated by Motorsport UK, the national governing body for motorsport in the UK and operated by TeamSport UK, who have nationwide indoor karting venues across the UK.
The Girls Karting Academy will provide girls from ages 8 to 12 the opportunity to learn and progress into Motorsport UK’s talent pathway, under its Academy programme.
The exciting initiative will enable drivers to hone their skills, before being encouraged to set a qualifying time at a regional circuit near them and having the chance to take part in the British Indoor Karting Championship (BIKC) Regional Finals to win a fully funded place with the Club100 Karting series.
