Organisation
This statement applies to TeamSport Indoor Go Karting (“the Organisation”), represented by the ultimate Parent, Luigi Top Co Limited. It covers the most recent financial year and outlines our strengthened, best‑practice approach to identifying, preventing and mitigating modern slavery risks across our operations and supply chains.
The Organisation is committed to acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to mitigate the risk of modern slavery.
Organisational Structure
TeamSport operates over 40 sites across the UK and Europe. Our activities include indoor karting and complementary leisure offerings such as laser tag, VR, bowling, interactive cricket, and mini golf.
The Organisation is governed by a Board of Directors, with executive accountability for people, ethical standards, and compliance. Oversight of modern slavery risk is managed through the People function, with escalation to the Executive Team where required.
Definitions
Modern slavery includes human trafficking; forced or compulsory labour; exploitation through coercion, threat or deception; ownership or control of individuals; dehumanisation and restriction of freedom of movement.
Commitment
The Organisation is committed to a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery. We have embedded human rights considerations into corporate governance, risk processes, supplier approvals and employee training. We continually benchmark our practices against global standards including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Supply Chains
Our principal supply chains include kart manufacturing and parts, energy and fuel, food and beverages, PPE and racewear, cleaning and facilities services, IT systems and professional services. We prioritise UK and European suppliers and conduct enhanced screening for any supplier operating in a region or sector with elevated risk.
Risk Assessment & Potential Exposure
We use a structured risk scoring model assessing geography, sector, labour intensity and supplier governance maturity. Labour‑intensive and manufacturing supply chains undergo enhanced due diligence and periodic audits.
Due Diligence & Controls
We operate a risk-based due diligence framework designed to prevent and detect modern slavery risks. This includes:
- Supplier Onboarding Checks, including completion of our Environmental Practice Questionnaire and confirmation of compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct;
- Mandatory adherence to TeamSport’s Supplier Code of Conduct as a condition of trading;
- Contractual expectations requiring suppliers to comply with applicable labour laws, human rights standards, and ethical practices;
- Expectations that key suppliers maintain appropriate policies and processes to prevent modern slavery within their own operations and, where practicable, within their supply chains;
- Right-to-work checks for all directly employed crew members; and
- Clear escalation and termination provisions where supplier standards are not met.
Where heightened risk is identified, enhanced due diligence measures may be applied, including targeted supplier self-assessment, additional information requests, or review of mitigation actions.
Key Performance Indicators
The Organisation monitors effectiveness through a combination of operational and qualitative measures, including:
- Compliance with right-to-work processes.
- Completion of supplier onboarding documentation and Code of Conduct confirmations.
- Identification and escalation of concerns via internal reporting and whistleblowing mechanisms; crew are encouraged to contact the People Team.
- Ongoing review of supplier categories and risk exposure.
These indicators are reviewed periodically and will continue to evolve as our ESG and supplier governance frameworks mature.
Training
Modern slavery awareness is embedded within broader training provided to managers and relevant crew members. They are trained to make sure there is a ethical and fair recruitment practice.
Training requirements are reviewed periodically and strengthened where risk exposure increases.
Governance & Reporting
Accountability for modern slavery risk and compliance sits with the Executive Team, who are responsible for ensuring appropriate controls, oversight, and resourcing are in place across the Organisation.
The Executive Team provides updates to the Board through regular people and governance reporting and escalates any material risks, incidents, or required actions for Board review and oversight.
Confidential whistleblowing arrangements are in place, enabling crew members and third parties to raise concerns safely and without fear of retaliation.
Review & Approval
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes TeamSport’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the relevant financial year.
This statement is reviewed annually and updated as required to reflect changes in business operations, supply chains, or legal requirements.
