Lewis Hamilton's careless tweeting
has finally made the F1 driver rethink his use of the social network and if you ask me, its about time! On Monday, Lewis tweeted Jenson Button, accusing him of unfollowing him and being disrespectful when in fact, Jenson had never followed Hamilton! There were two tweets which read:
Just noticed @jensonbutton unfollowed, thats a shame. After 3 years as teammates, I thought we respected one another but clearly he doesn't. Funny thing is, we are STILL teammates! All good tho, I plan on giving this team & fans all I got til I cross the finish line in brazil!!!
It wasn't until a day later that Hamilton realised his mistake and tweeted:
My bad, just found out Jenson never followed me. Don't blame him! Need to be on Twitter more!
Button took the dig very well and said:
You have to be careful what you put on Twitter. We've got over a million followers. It is what it is, and Lewis apologised to me.
At least it all ended in a civilised manner, lets hope Lewis has learnt his lesson! What do you guys think? How powerful is Twitter and how much of an impact do you think its having on Hamilton's career?
