That’s right – Brighton track is electric! We are excited to share that the newly refurbished Brighton track has officially reopened and is now the 9th TeamSport venue to have been converted from petrol to electric.
We have invested in state of the art gen7 e-karts which run purely on renewable electricity. These karts can gain speeds of 40mph.
In addition to the karts, this venue has been re-branded under TeamSport E-karting after a £1.1 million redesign of the site including the bar and lounge area. The most important thing to note is that everything is now BLUE!
TeamSport are making these important changes to fulfil our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. In fact, the Brighton track change gets us one step closer to our goal of having 50% of all TeamSport tracks electric by the end of 2023.
We feel strongly that by going electric we can still provide a great racing experience for our customers whilst increasing efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. Don’t worry though – we are definitely not going to part with ALL our petrol karts!
