Last month we followed the design and build of the St Edward’s School, Cheltenham, building their race car for the 'Goblins' event within the Greenpower Education Trust. The Trust is an initiative to advance education in the subjects of sustainable engineering and technology with young people. You can see that Blog post here.
Following a successful week at their opening race at Renishaw, the team returned to the school with two trophies - Best Body Work and the Sprint Race Champions! Max Harper led the team for the 6 lap race to claim the Sprint win, and the team were judged on the bodywork design, their uniforms, and how environmentally friendly the car bodywork materials were.
Following their wins, the Goblins shared their news with the Junior School in assembly. Pupil Tom Duggan drove the race car into the centre of the audience accompanied by the sounds of 'The Chain' by Fleetwood Mac!
