Ecclestone backs Schumacher as potential F1 team Boss

Schumacher urged to stay in Formula 1

25 August 2011

This weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix will see Schumacher celebrate two decades in Formula 1 after he first made his debut for Jordan at Spa-Francorchamps back in August 1991.

After recently coming out of retirement, things haven't exactly been spectacular for the Mercedes driver and we have seen him struggle to achieve the same results that saw him win multiple championship titles. This being said, Bernie has come out and backed the F1 driver and thinks he would make an exceptional team principal if and when he decides to retire, again, from racing.

I can't see him leaving Formula One, unless he really believes that his car is not competitive and he thinks it is time to retire then he should then lead Formula One team with his experience and his talent he would be first class.

Schumacher would certainly have a huge amount of experience, imagine if he started up his own team, now thats an interesting idea!
