Brucey Predicts - German GP

17 July 2014

The German GP is upon us this weekend and it seems that at this stage of the season there are only two drivers that stand a realistic chance of becoming champion! Hamilton and Rosberg have managed to take every race except one this season and there are now only 4 points that separate the pair after Hamilton raced to victory in this year’s action packed British GP at Silverstone.

This German GP is setting up to be a little different compared to last season’s though, due to the domination of Mercedes rather than Red Bull. It’s possible that we’ll see a few of the drivers step it up as they are in front of their home crowd, Vettel to name one. It is likely that Vettel will want to up his game so that he can reach the podium and redeem some of his latest performances. Also Rosberg, who is currently performing better than Vettel, has the chance to wow his home crowd by taking the race (something I’m sure he’ll be eager to do!). As a result it is almost inevitable that Rosberg will race to win, leaving Hamilton behind in second place. However, Lewis Hamilton is one of the only current multi-time winners at the German GP with victories in 2008 and 2011 and therefore he may find motivation to up his performance and go for the win. Excluding this season’s top drivers, there have been some awesome races out on the circuit recently with Williams ever improving - shown by Bottas’s amazing race at the British GP - and Hulkenberg who will be amongst the points as always. Button also looks strong and therefore I expect we will see a great effort from him as well. Brucey Predicts: 1st – Nico Rosberg 2nd – Lewis Hamilton 3rd – Sebastian Vettel
