Paffett Secures First DTM Win of the Season

Great start to the season for the Brit!

Having started in Pole Position Gary Paffett put in a stirling drive to Win the first DTM race of the season giving Mercedes all of the top 4 places! This was Paffett’s 15th race win of his DTM career and opens up the posibility of him being able to emulate his 2005 Championship win!

David Coulthard made up 5 places from his qualifying position of 17th to finish 12th – not too bad for his first ever DTM race! With Ralf Schumacher finishing 9th, just 1 place outside the points…what a shame!

It is great to see Motorsport is alive and well as 78,000 fans came out in the bright sunshine at Hockenheim to watch the first race of the season, and all the better that Mercedes has such a good race!

The Next race is in Valencia on the 23rd may, lets hope Paffett can continue his form and Coulthard can start to creep up into the points!
