Bruno Spengler Wins Third Round of DTM Season

Mercedes triumph in an exhilarating race.

After starting on the grid in second position the Canadian Bruno Spengler takes the win at EuroSpeedway in Lausitz with a clear 4.5 second gap, his first win since Norisring 2007.

Paul Di Resta holds the fastest lap record on this track and continued to prove that, holding the lead of the race until he ran into tyre problems during his second pit stop, he finished second followed closely by Jamie Green making it a 1-2-3 for Mercedes.

An accident on the opening lap between French driver Alexandr Premat and fellow Audi driver Mattias Ekstrom started the action, with the Swede spinning and colliding with David Coulthard and Timo Scheider. After initially carrying on Coulthard had to end his race in the pits just two laps after the restart.

With the countdown to the next race at Norisring in Nuremberg underway, why not fuel your thirst for racing by coming to Kart Champs!
